The following two tabs contain B&W and then color images of our trip to Morocco in April, 2018. I have a general preference for B&W, and am just not as capable with color images. That said, there are some images (despite my limitations) that just work better in color - or viewers may prefer them that way. Cases in point are the panorama of Chefchouen above - Morocco's "Blue City" - or the Marrakech market scene.
Our 19-day trip went roughly as follows: Tangier Airport to Chefchouen then via Volubilis and Moulay Idris to Fes; from there through the Rif mountains (snow covered) to Merzouga, the desert location of Erg Chebbi (huge dunes and past starting point for the desert section of the Paris-Dakar Rally); then, a stop in Skoura (an oasis town) and onward through the High Atlas mountains to Marrakech; from Marrakech, we then took two days at Richard Branson's resort back in the High Atlas (Kasbah Tamadot), another night at desert camp Scarabeo in the foothills of the High Atlas and, completing our trip, ended in Essaouria (formerly Mogador, the Portugese fortified city) on the Atlantic coast.
We highly recommend our travel agents: www.blacktomato.com and their local partners in Morocco www.epicmorocco.co.uk who arranged the trip and our fabulous guide (Nouri) and driver (Simo).
Click the links below or tabs under "Morocco" above to go to the images. I have not yet labeled them with place, and the color images are not in chronological order. I also apologize that the color images, due to compression algorithms used by this website sponsor, appear somewhat desaturated and do not reflect the full range of colors contained in the original (and much larger) image files.

There is also a .pdf book version (intended for family and friends) at this link: DPK Photo Books. You will need a password to open any of these books - email me and I will send it to you. When viewing in Adobe Acrobat, set your page display to "two-page view" to properly view the presentation. There is narrative and the colors are much better than on this website.
